What is stress?

When the demands of the world, inner or outer world, are too hard for our resources, we feel stressed. We are over tired, restless, sometimes angry, frustrated, irritated, we are not “in tune”. Life is difficult. Handling stress is essential to our mental and physical health. Stress has strong physical echo: it affects our hormones, blood pressure, immune system, cognitive functions, levels of cholesterol, sugar, etc.
There is more than exercise and meditation or relaxation when it comes to stress control. Realizing what you see, how you see it, what you expect from yourself, what your mental and emotional resources are, and many other issues, will help you relate better to yourself, the world and be in tune again.
